Prospect Watch: The ACL Padres scored four runs in the fourth to defeat the ACL White Sox. … Shortstop B.Y. Choi had another multi-hit game, swatting a single and a double as he extended his on-base streak to 16 games. He also added his 12th stolen base of the season. The 22-year-old has had a successful second campaign in the desert after making a cameo late last season. He’s delivered an .831 OPS this season. … We’ve speculated for a while that L.J. Jones would be moved up to a higher affiliate but after an injury kept him out for two weeks, Jones is still collecting at-bats in the desert. However, the 24-year-old has feasted on ACL pitching as he has worked himself into game shape. Jones added two more hits Thursday, including his sixth ACL homer of the season. The two-hit effort raised Jones’ OPS in the ACL to a ridiculous 1.306. The former Cardinal draft pick has played as high as Double-A, so he’s no stranger to stiffer competition. … First baseman Hugo Sanchez tripled and drove in a pair of runs in the win. The 21-year-old from Guadalajara, Mexico is stateside for the first time this season after producing an impressive .914 OPS in the DSL last year. This season, he’s slashing .222/.296/.349 in 23 games with the desert. … Righty Zac Addkison took over for starter Abraham Parra and dominated, winning his second game in the process. Addkison pitched three scoreless innings and allowed just one hit while notching seven strikeouts, blowing past his previous career-high of three. The 22-year-old, a 15th-round pick out of Marshall University last year, has started stretching out, completing three innings in each of his last two outings. With the ACL season winding down, he should get an opportunity in Lake Elsinore before the season ends.
